In some cases, we actually don’t have to shut the water off at all. We can work on the pipes during the day, when most people are out of the house anyway, and a typical residential repair can be completed in 1 – 2 days.
Pipe replacement is a traditional means of repair where a plumber will remove the failing pipe and replace it with a new pipe. This repair method has many disadvantages, which include the creation of a messy construction site, significant time to complete, and the fact that in almost all circumstances costs more than lining. NuFlow’s cured in place pipe (CIPP) lining solutions are non-destructive, eco-friendly, non-invasive, costeffective and can be installed in a fraction of the time.
The access points, cleanouts and manholes we utilize are typically already present. In some cases we need to remove a toilet to gain access but the disruption is minimal.
NuDrain is designed with a flexible and contouring rubber bladder in it. Once installed, the bladder within the liner is inflated pushing the epoxy saturated felt around the contours of the host pipe, making a mechanical bond with its host. NuFlow also offers specific liners for Y and T connections.
NuDrain can be used on pipework with diameters between 1 1/2” to 12” inches or more depending on a variety of factors. Any length of pipe is manageable, but typically lengths of pipe that can be lined at once vary depending on diameter, a length of approx. 150 feet is able to be done at one time for a 4 inch diameter host pipe.
NuDrain can applied with varying resins to mate with the pipe’s discharge temperature and chemicals being transported. Special resins can tolerate temperatures above 212°F.
The warranty is 10 years, but the anticipated life expectancy is 75 years.
Our Techs at Florida Pipe Rescue can compensate for deviation in diameter or alignment of the existing host pipe should it be affected by collapse, degradation or cracking. In the case of protrusion or debris in the pipes, the host pipe needs to be thoroughly cleaned initially and any debris removed before lining can commence.
Our epoxy meets or exceeds the physical properties set forth by the American Standard of Testing and Materials (ASTM) as well as other national & international standards for CIPP rehabilitation.
